Stephen McAuley

With more than 20 years’ experience as a solicitor, Stephen is an accomplished litigation and dispute resolution lawyer. His areas of expertise include commercial law, deceased estates, property and trust disputes, negligence, personal injury and other tortious claims, construction, finance, insurance and superannuation disputes.

Before founding McAuley Lawyers, Stephen worked for a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and subsequently practised at a national law firm.

As an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation, Stephen regularly represents clients in the:

• Federal Court of Australia;
• Supreme Court of New South Wales, including the Court of Appeal;
• Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia;
• District Court of New South Wales;
• Local Court of New South Wales; and
• NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Stephen also represents clients in matters involving the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Stephen is a member of the following boards and committees:

• Specialist Accreditation Board of the Law Society of New South Wales; and
• Sacred Heart Education Ministry.

Stephen is also appointed by the Law Society of New South Wales as an Independent Solicitor for the purpose of executing search orders.
