The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is a Government body whose responsibility is to investigate allegations of corruption against NSW Public Offices and Public Authorities.

The ICAC has powers similar to those of a Royal Commission and can compel witnesses to testify in both public and private hearings.

If you receive a summons to give evidence at a compulsory examination or public inquiry, it is important you seek legal advice. It is possible that by answering questions and producing documents you might be incriminated so it is essential that you obtain legal advice. It is a criminal offence to fail to attend the hearing or to refuse to answer relevant questions.

We provide expert advice and representation in cases investigated by the ICAC. We can represent you at hearings and inquiries and ensure the protection of your rights, such as the right against self-incrimination.
